BEWARE!!! After getting an initial quote from Erik at KOR, I mentioned receiving several other quotes which were lower, and asked if they would be able to match. Erik once provided with a screen shot of the quote and a review from BBB that the competitor had an A+ rating, agreed to match the price. This was all dont 25+ days before my move date, and first available date of pick up. First, they did not forward me a contract, second they got the pick up dates wrong, third - after being in my new location for a week, and already having to pay for uber's and rental cards (costing me nearly $300) they told me late Friday afternoon, that I essentially had to offer more money, above the agreed upon rate, in order to have a company agree to transport my car. Having been without my car a week, with my new job starting the following, and not wanting to accrue additional rental car fee's, I felt (based on their statements). that I had no other choice. When my car driver, upped the price an additional $50, and told me it would be another day, again, I felt I had no choice, if I indeed want to get my car without waiting several more weeks.

When I forwarded my invoice back to KOTR and let them know how unhappy I was about the additional delays and fee's, Alex (their customer service manager) called me and apologized saying there was nothing they could do, that my car would not have shipped otherwise. When I then asked to speak to a manager, a gentleman named Jeramais called me, and in a very demeaning tone, continued to talk over me, saying they still beat their original quote and that Erik should have never agreed to meet the price. I thanked him for finally being honest with me, and when I clarified that they had indeed not, he asked me to again forward the invoice,

Overall they lack communication within their company, and with their customers, and will put their best sales face forward to try and make a deal. I recommend spending the $100 more with another company and in hopes that you will receive your vehicle on time. Even my driver warned me the day before delivery how dishonest they were known to be in the transport industry....no wonder they had such a hard time finding people willing to work with them. The tried over and over again to shift the blame from the car transport company that was eventually contracted, to their own co-workers and ultimately were unable to accept blame.

Hi Chelsea, I am sorry that your transport was such a stressful and bad experience, however the review above is a misrepresentation of what actually occurred during the transport. Chelsea was offered an original quote of $695.00 to get her vehicle moved from Lowell, MA to Lexington, KY from King of the Road Transport. She then stated that she had been quoted a total price of $575.00 from another "reputable company". We hesitantly agreed to match this price and see if we could get her car shipped. This was our first and only mistake in this transport and we are currently revising our policy on this matter. After her 5 days of our contract (which we sent to her and she never stated she had not received) had expired we offered the options of canceling the contract at no charge or offering more money to the drivers as we had already offered our ENTIRE SERVICE FEE to help get it moved. A carrier then agreed to pick up her car for $75.00 for a total of $650.00 which again included our service fee. After the driver had picked up the vehicle and was on his way she decided to change the delivery location to Louisville, KY which is 100miles away. The driver arranged with her, amicably I might add, to an extra fee of $50.00 for the extra 100mi out of his way. We at King of the Road never charged Chelsey anything for our services as we sacrificed that in hopes that this would help get her vehicle shipped. The fact that this review is full of slander and lies can be proven with screenshots of the texts between Chelsey and the driver and our recorded phone conversations. We wish Chelsey the best in her future endeavors and are saddened by her reaction to our general goodwill in trying to match a price that she wanted while still getting vehicle shipped.
