I used Direct Connect as they were recommended by GCC Classic Cars in NC, whom I purchased the car from as being the best shipper. Worked with a gentlemen called Marc Richards to ship the car to Utah. The car was picked up and during shipment severally damaged on the roof line. It was quite evident that the 3rd party carrier used by Direct Connect, (Jerry's Auto Haul), damaged the car while driving the car on or off the truck. Upon drop-off by the carried in Utah, the driver provided a forged a Bill of Laden, stating the damages were already on the car when it was picked up from GCC. The Bill of laden presented also stated that GCC Classic Cars had refused to sign. GCC have provided video and signed paperwork (by driver) that the car left the GCC lot without any damage. Clearly the driver has created a second Bill of Laden which doesn't match the original to cover their tracks. Red paint from the auto trailer matches the damage on the roof. When trying to connect with Marc Richards from Direct Connect, he was rude and referred me to the 3rd party carrier they used. he indicated they won't deal with the problem, its the 3rd party carriers problem. No email address was provided but only a phone number that continually goes to voice mail. Called Jerry's Auto Haul and Direct Connect several times, and today no-one has called me back. They don't even want to deal with my problem. Please do not use Direct Connect for any of your Auto transport needs as they are crooks and very dishonest.
