I submitted my info to a general auto transport website and got a number of calls/emails. IronClad was one of three I called. Ashlee was straightforward: told be that she is a broker and lists the car on a board. Her fee was $230 and the value add is to have a database of haulers that they don't recommend. I called back 3 days later and said I was ready to move my car from San Francisco to Syracuse, NY. She called back 1 hour later and said a driver taken the order. She handed him off to me. He picked up my car three days later. I paid Ashlee $230 online and had a cashier's check for $1190 waiting in NY. Smooth transaction. What can go wrong is trying to negotiate the price. I noticed that all three bids were within $50 (it looked like one was willing to lower their fee by $50 but the transport would still be $1190).
