We scheduled car shipping more than one month in advance with another agency, which we would rather not name here. And the quote the agent gave was 100-200 dollars higher than others. So we were not going cheap--we wanted to have the shipping absolutely secured by offering more. But we were dead wrong. Despite all the guarantee we were given, that agent simply failed to deliver and could not find any driver. It was already 3 pm Thursday afternoon, and we had a flight to catch early Saturday morning. We definitely needed to have our car picked up before we flew. Out of despair, I called other agents who gave us quotes before. The first one I called YAWNED and was entirely incapable of helping. Then I called Kay Jolly of Get It Done, with whom I briefly talked to before. She was driving when talking to me, but she instantly contacted her colleague, who spent only FIVE minutes finding a driver to pick up our car the following day. Just FIVE minutes. No bs. With best courtesy you could expect in this business. And we were miraculously rescued from the verge of a total move disaster. We couldn't be more thankful. What a contrast to our experience with another agency that screwed us up big time after we gave them one whole month plus to look for a driver. Literally, Get It Done has lived up to its name! It took two weeks for the car to be delivered, but it's understandable: It's the Labor Day long weekend right after the car was picked up and when it was supposed to be delivered, the super hurricane Florence hit North Carolina where we moved. But when the car finally showed up in our lane, unscratched, just washed by rains, we were nothing but thrilled. Leon, the driver Kay and her colleague found for us, heroically delivered while Florence was still hovering over us. It's a story we can repeat to our friends in the rest of our life.
