I’ve shipped my car several times in the past and never have I been so disappointed. I chose Dynamic Auto Movers due to their consistently high reviews. I first contacted a representative over a month prior to my ship date since I was coordinating my car pick up around a flight and I did not have any wiggle room with a pick up date. A representative informed me that I would be contacted for additional information once I was within two weeks of my ship date. I was never contacted and contacted the representative myself to provide my information. I was informed at that time at I would be contacted within a week of my ship date to schedule a driver. I was assured that my car will ship on my specified date. At that time, I was asked to provide a credit card to charge a $100 deposit upon pickup. “No Money Up Front. Many companies preach the fact that they do not charge money upfront yet the fact is that when you attempt to book an order they will ask you for a credit or debit card to take a deposit or down payment.” This is verbatim from Dynamic Auto Movers’ website. None of this was true.
I was never contacted to have a driver assigned so I took the initiative to call the representative myself. I was informed then that “a helper” was helping my original representative and that none of the information I previously provided was available anymore. “You will be assigned a personal representative that will deal with you from beginning to end” as advertised was not true.
I again gave this new representative my information. I was yet again assured of a guaranteed pickup date on my specified date. I did not receive a call the week that I had specified my car to ship. I finally called the representative the day prior to my ship date. I was informed that the only driver he had available was asking $300 more than we had agreed on. My shipping day arrived and I still did not have a confirmed driver. I waited all morning for a confirmation. The representative finally emailed me and informed me that the driver will accept $250, rather than $300, more than the original price we agreed on. I was informed that he was unable to pick up my car until the following day. Keep in mind that I had scheduled my pickup date around a flight, and I had a flight leaving later that afternoon. I scrambled and finally decided to leave my car with a friend to be picked up. Door to door service as advertised was unavailable. My friend was asked to drop my car off at a dealership, which was not just inconvenient but a hassle since she was doing this as a favor. Once my car was finally picked up, the driver kept pushing back the arrival date as well as the time. My car didn’t arrive until 1.5 days after the expected arrival. The driver asked me to have cash in hand an hour prior to the arrival of my car. I was informed from the start that credit cards are accepted as a form of payment. When the driver finally arrived 1.5 days late, the one thing he said “where’s the cash? I need to get going.” My entire experience from start to finish was unprofessional and anything but smooth and stress free. Nothing advertised was true. My uncle will be shipping a car across the country and asked for shipping company recommendations. My recommendation was to avoid Dynamic Auto Movers and I’ll say the same to anyone.
