I turned to Compass after cancelling an engagement with another company that refused to honor their supposedly firm estimate, upped the price 30% at the last minute, and then treated me rudely, as if I had created the problem. My experience with Compass (and specifically with Mark Howard) was the opposite – straightforward on pricing, responsive with communications, and always pleasant and helpful. ….Compass moved my pickup truck from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles, where it was to be turned over to a shipping company for transport to Hawaii. When there was a glitch between me and the shipping company (no fault of Compass), Mark was on top of it and saved me from what could have been a significant hassle and expense….It’s hard to choose an auto transport company. It seems to be an industry with a lot of bad actors. Based on my experience, Compass is one of the good guys. I’d definitely use them again.
