Update 7/11: Nenad refuses to solve issue until I remove my reviews. “As soon you taking care of reviews, I'll send guy with check” is what he writes me. This is against Yelp policy. Yelp please investigate, I have lots of proof who these people are. I have also retained legal counsel to represent me with my meeting at the US Attorneys office that I pushed till next Tuesday as some more evidence came to light yesterday of FRAUD capital vity movers does with credit card numbers, and using my name to do fraud. Email speakout@capitalcitymoverscomaints.com for more info or to share your own experience Somehow my review was deleted, so I am reposting it. 2 TV's broken due to negligence in packing on the movers. 1 TV replaced (fraud done to obtain by CCM) 1 TV months ago promised to replace and I have been chasing to get it done. Update 6/27: Still chasing Nenad to finish this issue he promised to fix months ago. Additionally I uncovered more FRAUD done by Nenad as the first TV replaced was done so FRAUDULENTLY when he took my original TV and shipped it back to the vendor. I discovered this when I had to call LG for warrantee issue being my TV would not update, I was told that I don't have any more warrantee on this new TV due to fraud. Original post from yelp 1/23: If I was able to give no star I would, unfortunately I must give 1 star to write a review. I would like to start by letting everyone know I have used Capital City many times in the past for myself and people in my company, as long as everything goes well it seems great, the moment you have an issue they completely ignore you and don't mind loosing a client over it. My move was slightly different than a typical move. I had a flood and had to pack my things for storage in unit 1 and move to a storage facility In the meantime I moved to Unit 2 in the same building temporarily, being it was fully furnished everything went to storage. While the guys came to pack I let them know many times these are going to storage to make sure they pack it good, it got to the point where one of them was getting annoyed and told me he is a professional at this and let him do his job. Fast forward apx 60 days later: I already prepaid for part 1 and 2 Agreement is to pick up from storage and deliver Assemble the furniture they took apart PACK and move all personal belongings from unit 2 back to Unit 1 I get a call from Nigel to review my job a few days prior. He insisted on sending a full crew to NJ to pick up instead of splitting up and sending to pack. I advised him that my building has a no mover policy past 430 and he was convinced there was enough time. Day of move: 10am - boxes picked up from storage in NJ 2pm - they arrive in NYC at my appartment, workers at that point know nothing about Unit 2 moving down, further they have no packing supplies, and they tell me we are only 2 guys and none of us are carpenters that can put your things back together. They attempt to call for backup and get no help, they attempt to do as much as they can on there own. They start off by unloading the truck and opening certain boxes they take back with them (TV Boxes, wardrobe, ect). First TV 65" OLED that was a few month old at the time comes out broken. The workers saw it and mentioned how the packaging had nothing to protect it as it looks like they used a smaller tv box and bent the sides to fit this TV. How ironic the exact same thing I warned them when they came to pack actually happened. TV # 2 Samsung 8k series comes out of the box and the casing is cracked. That TV was not even in a TV box, it looked like they took multiple boxes and made a homemade box. The workers notified the boss and took detailed pictures and advised someone will be in touch with me. During the move down (they only managed to do apx 40% of it, and it entailed a lot of throwing into boxes due to time, I get a call from Neff stating that I must pay $700 for that part as it was not part of my agreement that I actually agreed upon and paid 2 months prior. I forwarded him the email with our agreement and he stayed quiet. I waited a week for someone to contact me and no one has I emailed 3 different people at the company and also no response I send another follow up email and still no response. I have been caused thousands of dollars financial damage due to this company negligence and they fail to take any responsibility. I strongly suggest to everyone out there DO NOT use Capital City Movers. If they can treat me like this imagine what they would do to you the moment you have an issue.
