RUDE, LATE, AND NON-RESPONSIVE

I had a horrible experience with this this “company” in connection with a covered car delivery from Scottsdale to Baltimore. I have shipped 6 cars over the last 15 years or so, including two from outside the country (Canada and New Zealand). This is my first complaint. PLEASE READ. DO NOT USE THIS TRANSPORT COMPANY
I explained to broker that I was out of town through Monday, September 25 p.m. in London on business. That notwithstanding, I got a text while in London saying the car was to be delivered Sunday, September 24. I scrambled to see who could assist (car is for my 16 year old, who does not have his license, so he was not in a position to manage the drop). Driver supposedly got a flat. Moved the delivery to Monday, September 25 at 9 a.m. That meant my wife, who is also a full time lawyer, had to rearrange her schedule with my son (who is in school). For no explained reason, the driver then pushed to 4:30 p.m. My wife then returned to work, and because she had meetings in DC in the afternoon and for dinner, she made arrangements for our college-aged sitter to pick up my 16 year old from school (and my other two sons from another school) to meet the driver at 4:30 p.m. My sitter was then going to coordinate with a third person to meet to drive the car home.
Driver did not show until after 7 p.m. During a conversation with my son, the driver abruptly hung up on him. He refused to drop at the location we identified from the get go, which is a large commercial area with massive parking lots – large trucks come in and out all day to the businesses there, including a Fresh Market (large grocery chain). My office is in this development. After hanging up on my son and leaving him in the parking lot with my sitter (and my other two sons), the driver showed up IN THE CAR itself. He drove it .7 miles to the drop off point. No authority. No notice. Car not registered. Car not insured. Unacceptable. My son, being 16, said nothing and handed him a check for $1,100. Had I been there, we would have had a different conversation.
Because of the schedule change to after 7 p.m., the sitter could not take the car home after the drop. It sat without plates in a business parking lot until I got to the car at 1 a.m. (having flown from London to Dulles, VA and driven 1.5 hours to Baltimore). Could have been towed, which is why I had to address it at 1 a.m.
I discussed this at length with Best Trans by email – I got nothing and was essentially mocked for my efforts. The driver lied. Of course. And the company, rather than focusing on customer service, simply took the word of its driver over my 16 year old honors student. They had my money, and they know it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, particularly if you are transporting a nice vehicle in an enclosed unit.
