You thought getting ghosted by your ex was bad? Try getting ghosted by AutoStar! I previously used AutoStar to transport a vehicle to Michigan and it was a great experience. This time, however, the experience was an absolute disaster. I scheduled a transport for my vehicle and told my shipping coordinator at AutoStar, Sean Hancock, that I needed my vehicle shipped out by a certain date. The reason for this was that my vehicle was located at a surplus auction lot which had a deadline to remove it. If I didn?t have the vehicle out by the deadline, I would have forfeited the vehicle and I would have lost all of the money I paid for it. Sean assured me it could be done, however, things quickly took a sharp turn. Sean was supposed to send me an e-form via e-mail to edit. The form he sent me was glitched and could not be edited. I alerted Sean to this and he said he would send out a new form right away. Sean never sent out the form. I called him again the next morning, and he apologized. Once again, he assured me that he?d get it out right away. His assurance was worthless as he once again failed to send out the form. For almost the next week, I called nearly one dozen times and left several voicemails for Sean to no response. Due to AutoStar?s piss poor customer service, failure to return my calls, and my vehicle needing to be removed by a quickly approaching deadline, I was left with no choice but to cancel with AutoStar and find another company to ship my vehicle. When I expressed my frustrations in my cancelation e-mail to AutoStar, their response was monotonous and dismissive. I was also informed that they would not refund my deposit in their response. They could say whatever about their stupid contract but it?s truly astonishing that they get to keep my $185 deposit even though they didn?t provide a service! What?s even more incredible is that Sean returned my phone calls AFTER I had cancelled. In his voicemail he said he had been out of the office! I?m sorry but you have to do better than that. At the very least, someone else should have been handling his calls for him. AutoStar are the definition of con men and they do not care about you in the slightest as a customer. I am beyond disgusted with what was allowed to transpire here and AutoStar made a routine process into something very aggravating and painful.

We sincerely apologize that the customer feels they were not provided with the same 5 star experience as before. Customer signed our contract agreeing that all dates are estimated and we are allotted 5 business days to assign a carrier company. The first available release date provided by customer was on 02/07 but customer sent us a written cancellation on 02/08, 2nd day of the contract, thus the deposit was not eligible for a refund. We wish the customer well.
