Honestly, I rarely take the time for writing reviews, but I hope to help someone else avoid mistakes. This was the first time needing to ship a car and I had no idea what the cost would be. I started my research online and found transportreviews that apparently showed honest reviews of customer experiences. I went down the list starting with number 1 ranked company and entered my profile info for an estimate. Be prepared to be bombarded with emails and phone calls. Initially, I made the newbie mistake of considering the lowest estimate as the main factor. A company called Big Bens Auto (Don spoke with me) gave me the cheapest price of $490. Well, that was about $400 less than the average quotes. Should have known better.. Horrible experience with fake promises like pickup schedule. Come to find out they never had any trucking company lined up for that price. I later read all the negative reviews for that company...true bait and switch tactics. Luckily, I found Auto Shipping Group and spoke with Felicia. Right off the bat, she was professional, informative, and super nice. The deciding factor for me was how honest she was about the process and the car shipping industry. Most every company you initially call, you are actually speaking with brokers. The brokers have to send out bids on a national system that truckers decide what job they are willing to take. Felicia told me there were bids for $700-800 (which includes broker fees, so the trucker would get around $500-600 based on those bids) from WA to AZ and no truckers were picking up those jobs. She worked up a fair price and even gave me a repeat customer discount to bring down the price to $910. The trucker gets $700 and the broker gets $210. They will ask you for a deposit (the amount of the broker fee) once you sign an edoc contract. That amount is paid by credit card, but the trucker will only take cash, cashier's check, or money order. Upon completing the contract, Felicia quickly found a trucker, Comic Transportation, which she had used for her own BMW. She advised they do a great job and she trusted them. Same day, the driver contacted us and scheduled a pickup time that was convenient for us. We arranged a pickup time for Friday which was only 2 days away. The truck driver, Alex, was very professional and nice, but difficult to understand at times due to a moderate foreign accent. Felicia kept in touch frequently by phone and text to make sure there were no issues. Alex arranged a delivery date with us for the following Wednesday. Alex advised he takes Zelle, so the transaction was digital and flawless.. From the time I signed the document, it took only 1 week to have my car delivered. It was an open transport. but Alex apparently took good care of the car as it was delivered with no visible damage at all (beyond the existing known damages). Overall, I feel lucky that I went with a great company, Auto Shipping Group. and the company needs to give Felicia a raise for superb customer service and for her sincerity in wanting to exceed customer's expectations. Definitely recommend this company.
