First experience shipping a car and it was not simple or easy. Original quote was significantly lower than final pricing and the original trucking company that was located to use did not end up being the one that was actually contracted and while Auto Shipping Group slightly reduced their fee it was still significantly higher than previously discussed. My contact was hard to get in contact with after I gave the go ahead to secure the truck and gave my credit card information only to find when I called a third time and left another message the day before I was scheduled to fly out to purchase the vehicle and load it on the truck that the original trucking company they selected was not confirmed the Friday prior as discussed on the phone with ASG. I felt I didn't have much choice at that point except to pay the higher transportation costs versus changing my flight and finding someone besides ASG. After that the actual truck driver was great and he was accessible via phone and kept me updated on the progress from Texas to North Carolina and arrived as indicated by him after 4 days. The car was in great shape and his truck was clean and my car was undamaged so that part was great!! I selected ASG and 2 other companies based on reviews and then requested quotations from each. I expressed to ASG that I had another car I wanted to ship 1-2 months later so I needed this to be easy and pain free so I would happily refer and give them the additional business but now I am on the fence. I honestly am not sure I would use ASG again and am candidly 50:50 based on my experience.
