I recently had my BMW transported cross-country from Pennsylvania to Washington and Breanna Pittman was my main point of contact at Auto Shipping Group. I am the type of person who needs to do extensive research and ask a lot of questions before I feel comfortable committing to something, and luckily, Breanna was one of the first people I spoke to. She is very knowledgeable and very honest about how the process works. I learned that you're working with brokers, not shippers, and that the low-ball quotes you get from online quote generators don't necessarily get your vehicle moved. The more specific date you want your vehicle to be picked up, the more expensive it will be. Breanna quoted me what she thought would guarantee to have my vehicle picked up within the time frame I wanted, and she cautioned me ahead of time that this isn't a hard number, so the final price could be $50-$100 more, depending what drivers are available during the specified time range. The whole upfront honesty made me feel comfortable about working with her. Though like I said, I need to do my research, so I didn't commit right away.

Over the next couple of days, I called several other place that did generate lower quotes to move my vehicle, and given all the knowledge I got from above, I was able to ask more intelligible questions and gauge their responses. Most of them do not tell you that the generated quote is based on "if one of my drivers who is going in the same direction as your destination and has a last minute cancellation." In some cases, it feels like pulling teeth to get them to admit that this is why the price is so low, and that if you're unlucky, your car can be sitting there waiting for someone to pick it up for a month or more. Also, none of the other people I spoke to were nearly as friendly as Breanna. Most of them sounded like they didn't care if they got my business. They were just doing a job and following a script.

Oh yeah, and a number of these other places told me if there were damages to my vehicle, it would be up to my insurance company to pay for it. Hmm......... Auto Shipping Group told me if there were damages, the carrier's insurance would cover it. Much better.

So about a week later, I got a follow-up call from Breanna, asking if I had made a decision and if I would like to continue to the next step of moving my vehicle (might I mention that she is the only person out of everyone I talked to who called with a follow up). By then I was pretty convinced that I would use Auto Shipping Group, so I went ahead and placed by order.

Breanna called me the day before my scheduled pick up and walked me through the process. Again, very helpful and professional. I got in touch with the driver and we set up a time for when he would come by. On the day of pick-up (Wednesday), the driver was late to his ETA and didn't call me to let me know. I called him to get a update and he gave me a new ETA and he was late again. In the end, he arrived about 4 hours later than he was supposed to, but it was no big deal, since my car was just sitting in the parking lot at my work. The driver was very thorough with inspecting my vehicle though, which was good. He marked down every little scratch or stain and took pictures of everything. He told me he was going to Portland by the weekend and would probably be able to delivery my vehicle the following Monday or Tuesday. Must faster than I had expected!

So the following Monday, I got a call from the driver saying he will be delivering the vehicle later that afternoon. It was the first day of my new job and I was in orientation the whole day, but luckily my husband was able to pick up the vehicle for me (if my husband was not available, this might have caused some problems). Anyway, I paid what I was quoted, and there were no damages to my car. I'm very happy with the whole process and would definitely use Auto Shipping Group (and Breanna Pittman) again in the future.

TLDR: Awesome service. Ask for Breanna.
