I would not recommend Americargo in Chicago for vehicle transport. Americargo was unable to communicate effectively on a delivery date and time. I was given 2 days, then 5 days, then 11 and 12 days to deliver. When the vehicle was finally delivered on day 12, it was in the twenty minute window that I was not home. The driver was rude to my wife and insisted that she take delivery of the vehicle, in the dark, without inspection. Megan, the manager who the driver called, insisted that there was no way to wait for an inspection in our garage under the lights. Once the vehicle was in my garage, there was obvious damage to the roof which included scratches and dings that where not on the car when picked up. Additionally, there was 10 additional miles on the vehicle from when it was picked up. Megan's only comment was that the car was not driven and that is also reasonable to expect minor damage to a car transported in an open carrier. Megan did not offer to pay for repairs for my vehicle. I paid about $800 to have my vehicle transported from Virginia to Chicago. I would not do business with Americargo - they are not responsive to their paying customers and are not an ethical shipper.
