I was quoted $1386 to have my car shipped from Idaho to West Virginia. As soon as I was contacted by amerifreight I was told that my route was not busy enough and may be hard to ship for. Mind you that I told them up front that I had no rush on the shipping and could wait whatever amount of time. They immediately gave me an offer from a driver for 2300+ dollars, over 900 more than the original quote. I told them the most is pay for shipping would be 2000 and somehow they magically had a driver seconds later for 2000. The company never intended to honor their original quote, nor was this in any way a better outcome than any other shipping broker. They quote low to get you in and then tell you you’ll have to pay much more to get your car shipped. It’s all deception and misleading tactics to get more money from the customer. They were never going to ship my car for anything near the quoted price.
