I had different quotes from different brokers before I decided to go with AmeriFreight. They are a broker and help find a cargo hauler for you. They don't own transports and do the service themselves. They take information about your requested service, and put a bulletin up for shipping companies to offer to ship your car. Cosmo was very attentive and took his time to explain how the process would be. He was very quick to reply whether it was by email, text or phone. He put a bid on my behalf for the transport of a Honda CRV from MD to AZ. My bid was picked by KM Autotransport LLC (they are based in PA). AmeriFreight's fee was $350 (paid with cc over the phone) and KM Autotransport's fee was $1650 paid with cashier's check (once vehicle was delivered) as the company does not accept online payments. I opted to buy the AFTA full gap coverage ($98) through AmeriFreight. KM Autotransport's dispatcher and drivers were very professional. A little delayed picking up the vehicle but I was not pressed for time. Driver was in communication and kindly requested we met at close by location because my street was too narrow for the carrier. The car arrived in the same condition and everything was good. Cosmo was very quick in answering back when booking, however he was not as responsive the day of pickup. He did not contact me the day of delivery (like he said he would - to check if everything went well) but instead contacted me two days later. If I need to transport a vehicle again I would bypass the broker and deal with the shipping company directly. However since this was the 1st time shipping a vehicle, AmeriFreight was overall a good experience.
