We used AmeriFreight to transport a second vehicle from CA to VA because we had a great experience the first time. We were familiar with the process and fee structure so the second time went even smoother than the first. We did not have the list of questions to address any uncertainties from being unfamiliar with the process, like we did the first time. The agents are completely transparent with the carrier rating and cost breakdown on each offer we received on our job so that we can make informed decisions. I do want to note as I did in my last review, because I see that many other reviewers mentioning price is not what’s quoted. It’s important to understand that as a broker, AmeriFreight offers three tiers to start the bid. The bid is the lowest possible cost. It is the individual carriers who make offers based on what space they are trying to fill and AmeriFreight has no control over which offers come up each day. This is when the booking agent gets ahold of us immediately to run through the carrier rating and offer, fees attached, resulting in the final price. And, it is up to us, the customer to accept or decline and wait for more offers. This is clearly stated in the documentation but it is a lot of info to absorb and can be overwhelming. We read through all the fine prints and asked a lot of questions in the first round. Hope this saves the next customer some research time if they come across this review.
