I have previously shipped with AmeriFreight and they were spot on. This time however, I was underwhelmed and actually looked into other companies. The communication was bad. I had to bother them repeatedly to accept my transport application (yes, bother them to accept my business). They said they were very backed up due to COVID, so take that as you may. They called me with an offer, I said I needed 30 minutes to get in touch with the person shipping the vehicle and I would call them right back. Attempted to call back 5 minutes later, no answer. Tried again later in the day, no answer. Eventually I had reached them and they told me the spot had been filled. That’s when I sought other companies. I received another offer from them the day after I put out a new application. If I was not in an immediate time crunch to have the vehicle shipped because of a move I would not have given them my business after the run around. I understand the company is more busy than usual — we all are — but unfortunately while the main business is auto transport, they’re also in the customer service business and they’re definitely lacking in that skill set. I was highly disappointed my second time around using AmeriFreight. I’m giving 2 stars because my first time shipping a vehicle (Feb 2020) was flawless.
