I needed to transport a car from FL to CA and contacted Amerifreight to get it done. Their initial quote to me was very good so I booked with them. They found me one carrier (they are a broker not a direct trucking company) relatively fast but the price was roughly $300 more than they had quoted me online and the car could not be picked up until 9 days from booking so i told them to keep on looking for someone else. They called me the next day and told me that they cannot find anyone else and if i wanted to book it I should do it now...so I DID book it with them and gave them my CC number. They sent me over a contract and everything and then an hour later told me sorry but the spot got filled by someone else. I told them to find me another carrier and they could not unless I raised my budget by ANOTHER $350! Finally they found me another carrier for the much higher price and i got my car. The problem that I have with Amerifreight and the few woman that I dealt with (i.e. Samantha Smith) is that once the carrier was booked THEY WENT SILENT and did not get back to me when i called them for an update (both phone and text) and more importantly did NOT bother to give me updates as to where exactly my car was in the transit process. Once they got their $350 to click a few buttons on Central Dispatch (the website that all of these brokers use to book carriers) their customer service fell off a cliff. As a matter of fact I just got an email today (January 14th) asking me A) how did the transport go and B) sorry that they haven't checked in with me since booking the car but to please give them a 5 star review of their services?!? I received the car on December 23rd and they decide to "check in with me" on January 14th? So in conclusion...the customer service and FOLLOW UP from Amerifreight was NOT the best and I am quite positive that there are better brokers out there who care more about the entire delivery process and not just collecting their fee at the beginning of the transaction and then not bothering to call you anymore

We apologize for any lack of communication this customer received. The customer service agent working with this customer was out of the office for several weeks due to illness, but was still checking on her orders and communicating requests by the customer to the carrier, and making sure that other customer service representatives were taking care of the order in her absence. We hope this customer will give us another opportunity to assist them with any future auto shipment needs.
