Straightforward, reasonably priced shipping from coast to midwest

We had a positive experience working with AmeriFreight to ship our vehicle from the west coast to the midwest. We worked with Whitney, who was responsive, clear, and easy to work with by email and over the phone. We had a fairly wide window for pickup, but AmeriFreight was able to find a carrier within just a few days, for only $150 more than the originally quoted Economy rate (which we didn't think was so bad, and $78 of that increase was the optional AFTA Standard Gap Coverage that we decided to purchase). Our car was delivered to its destination 4 days after pick up, in good shape. I realize experiences with different trucking services are likely to vary, but the driver from DIL Trucking did a very thorough inspection on both ends - though our car was picked up after dark, he wore a headlamp and used an app to note scratches and paint chips I had not even noticed before! There are lots of terrible reviews online for various auto shipping companies, but our experience with AmeriFreight was straightforward and got the job done with our car intact. Moving is unpleasant no matter how you look at it, but if we ever have to move and ship a vehicle again, we are likely to use AmeriFreight over other lower priced, more poorly reviewed companies.
