I wanted to ship my car from Atlanta to Cali. I got a quote from Robin for $795. She was nice and seemed to be professional. I made arrangements 2 months in advance just to make sure my car shipped on time. They were supposed to pick it up between Friday evening and Saturday which was in the contract. Well, on Saturday morning I received a call from someone saying that they didn’t have any drivers to come in my area. When I asked why calling the last minute, she said she called the day before but couldn’t leave a voicemail. However, once they wanted to make sure they got my money, they knew how send text and emails. She told me the driver will get the car in the following Monday which was the day I was supposed to fly. I agreed to leave my car at my uncle since I’ll be in the airplane. Monday morning, she called saying that I had to add another $300 to the $795 . Her only explanation was that what the driver wants… since I needed my car I went alone with it. I sent an email to Robin but she never responded. The driver told my uncle he would get the car at 6 pm, 630 , my uncle didn’t see him and called. He told my uncle to bring the car to him because he’s busy with other customers. When he told him that wasn’t in the contract, that driver called him an fuckin… ass…. The driver called me on Thursday morning saying he will drop the car at my destination after midnight and I said fine, later after 10, he asked me to meet with him after 11pm in some location to pick up my car. I signed a door to door contract and our house have big driveways for trucks and I shipped cars before. I tried telling him that I’m a young lady just move to a new area and I don’t feel safe meeting with him, he told me he didn’t care, he was going to drop my car at a towing place for me to pay the fee. I sent another email to Robin but she never replied. I called the office and left a voicemail and someone called back but didn’t solve the problem…. Stay away from allied auto shippers

We apologized for any inconvenience this has caused the customer. Allied never charged any fees until we had a driver confirmed and the customer agreed to everything. As we explained there is a driver shortage and prices change depending on the trucking companies. We offered to keep working on the order and see if we could get another trucking company for cheaper, but the customer decided to book the driver and pay the extra cost. We do explain when booking that we are a broker and do not own the trucks or set the rates. When the customer contacted us to let us know how rude and unprofessional the driver had been on pick up, we apologized and reached out to the trucking company. After speaking to the dispatcher who accused the customer's uncle of cursing at the driver and being the difficult one, we explained to the customer that the big semi-trucks can't usually fit into the residential area, and they would have to meet on pickup and delivery. There is no excuse for this trucking company at all, as far as we can tell they gave no notice on either pick up or delivery and were not cooperating with the customer at all. This kind of trucking company is the kind we will not use again, we do expect the companies to be professional with our customers.
