For a premium price, Acme Car Shipping damaged my car, showed bad customer service, and a worse choice of shipping partners and procedure.

Horrible experience. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation. I recommend saving some money and dealing with another company. Here's why:
- Acme is a only broker- so they will not ship your car themselves. Instead they will get a thousand third parties involved, who will keep moving your car on and off trucks, likely damage it, and at the end of the day Acme will not be held responsible for any damage - and good luck finding which 3rd party is actually responsible and holding them to it. My car was dented and they did not help me at all. Neither did the actual "carrier". Everyone's just tossing responsibility back and forth.
- They charged me an extra $50 ($950 total - not cheap!) for a "premium driver" then sent a guy in a Dodge truck for pickup, and for delivery -
a man who *drove my car himself into town [AT NIGHT] instead of taking it on a carrier*. Right, very premium.
- When I reported the damage and my horrible experience, they were far more interested in dodging any compensation than in making a customer happy. They just passed me along to the actual carrier, who was extremely shady and irresponsive. Just horrible.

Summary: I shipped my car last summer with a smaller company that took $700, was very caring, shipped it straight to my home without a hundred 3rd parties and on-and-off-trucks that can damage my car. THAT IS THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE. Those are the companies that should be supported and appreciated. Acme is not that company. Avoid avoid avoid.
