My Godson contracted with AAA1 Transportation to haul two cars from California to Florida and I pre-paid $1595 using my credit card.  The $1595 hit by account on 5/8/2017 and another $1595 hit my account on 5/15/2017.  When I advised Anthony of the double charging he said it was an accounting error and he would take care of it.  I waited a few days for his response that never came so I Emailed him asking for an update.  He never responded.  On June 3rd a driver from CAA Transport called to say he would drop the cars off on Monday June 5th and he would have to collect the transportation cost of $1400 in cash.  We contacted AAA1 and was told their accounts were "frozen" and they could not pay CAA so we should pay for the auto transport a third time.  Repeated attempts to contact AAA1 to verify in writing that they did not pay CAA through phone calls and emails were all ignored. CAA told the police officer, that I called to the drop off site, that AAA1 said they charged my credit card and it was refused so they were not paid.   My credit card company spoke to the police officer both charges had indeed been received by AAA1. Because AAA1 never sent a paid in full receipt, the police said I had no alternative but to pay the driver and battle it out in court.  Easy for him to say since he was not out $4600.  I did but by cashiers check so I had a paper trail.  The scary part of this story is that when I called AAA1 this morning Michael answered the phone "AAA1 Transport, can I help you".  Of course when he found out it was me he hung-up on me.  They are still operating their scam business out of Plantation!!  I am sure I am not the first person and certainly not the last person they will steal from. I have contacted multiple agencies to report this scam in hopes of helping stop these crooks!!!
