A few hiccups but it worked out in the end

Researching 4 or 5 providers (transportreviews.com was great for seeing the competitive landscape though oddly you can't buy directly from there, you need to go to each website individually and get a real quote), 1-flat rate is the one that came out on top, both in price and timeliness. I came back a few days later -- but still within the one week window of the quote -- and was disappointed to see that not only had the timing been pushed back (by more days than I had waited) but the price went up too, where it was on par with competitors instead of ahead. Instead of the hassle of switching companies and being same on price and later in time, I decided to stick with them. A follow-up sad development was when it got delayed again, and there was no resource like a discount. Apparently a quote or estimate isn't very binding at all with them. With 1 flat as the car broker, we finally got things aligned with the car hauler and got our car shipped out and delivered on time. Our relatives not us were picking it up, so the original requirement of cash or money order was less pleasing, but then I heard they did Zelle. But apparently Zelle had a low daily limit for new people and we got it to them with another app. Like I said in the title: Quite a few bumps in the road, but it all worked out in the end.
