I called Randy Chavez at Auto Sipping Group after I dealt with another company who gave me a bid of $1250. I had to call him several times because he never called me to keep me updated. When I finally got a hold of him, he said the price should be increased significantly if I wanted to get the job completed. I lost all confidence with that broker.
So I called Randy Chavez at Auto Shipping Group and he gave me a quote of $1550. He was direct and he gave me a lot of confidence that someone would take the bid. A couple of days later he had a driver who would do the job for $1700. Although, it was a higher bid, I didn't feel as though Randy was trying to take advantage of me.
The problem I had was with the trucking company, RS Patterson Trucking. I was flying into Phoenix on the 3rd but he wanted to deliver the truck on the 30th or the 1st. So I arranged with a friend who lived in Phoenix to accept the truck and pay the driver with a cashier's check. I was going to send it FedEx on Friday, the 27th. However, the driver called my contact in Phoenix, Friday afternoon and said they were dropping the truck off the next morning, four days earlier than planned. The trucking company did not contact me or Randy with this news. So I had to frantically try to get money into my friends account so he could go and get a cashier's check before the delivery the next morning. If we could not arrange payment that quickly, they were going on to Las Vegas and they wouldn't even give a date that could drop it off. Why couldn't the trucking company give me a heads up?? So I had a very frustrating experience, but I do not blame Randy Chavez. He was just as upset as I was with the trucking company.
