Josh responded the day I called with information about how Amerifreight does business, specifically in terms of shipping a car from Virginia to Utah. He was upfront about pricing indicating it was a bidding process where Amerifreight acts as a broker. The process Josh described to me on the phone was exactly what happened. I received a bid within three days of posting. The driver and I reached an agreement concerning the shipping price which was still less than what other companies quoted.
The driver and I also signed a contract concerning arrival dates which stated the car would be delivered in four days. In addition, we inspected the car together. The Camry Toyota arrived in Utah one day earlier than expected,. My CPA accountant brother picked up the car in Salt Lake City, Utah and said Amerfreight deserved a high rating.
All in all, Amerifreight was less expensive than me driving the 32 hours (no stops) from Virginia to Salt Lake. My expenses would have included hotel rooms for 4 nights, return airplane tickets and 10 tanks of gas. If you include the extra 2,200 extra miles on the car, Amerifreight is significantly cheaper.
