AmeriFreight Very good, truckers a little less so.

I had 2 vehicles shopped, a small pickup and a motorcycle. At the start I was new to this and didn't understand how this all worked. Amerifreight makes arrangements; posts the job, and takes bids and makes arrangements with truckers to do the actual transportation. The initial quote is for an optimistic amount that the truckers will actually take for doing the transportation, and in my case at least, the final cost was somewhat higher. The initial quote was more reasonable than I expected though, so final cost was OK.
I didn't realize that everything tends to happen in a hurry, pretty close to the actual transport date, and had made arrangements well in advance when nothing was going to happen for a while. Not a problem, but don't get excited if you don't hear anything until near the pickup date.
My pickup and delivery were both a day late or so, which was more of a problem on the pickup end, as I was having a friend keep the vehicles for me and didn't want to inconvenience him with having to hang around the house too much. They seem to be a little optimistic about how fast they can get to a place. The initial transporter was to take both the pickup and motorcycle, but arrived with only space for the pickup on the truck. His fault, though a little rubs off on Amerifreight for not being surer about this. A second carrier had to be arranged for the motorcycle, which was somewhat inconvenient and did raise my cost some.
My pickup arrived in perfect condition. The motorcycle had some finish rubbed off where straps were attached toward the rear, and with some rain spots and road dust which didn't seem too surprising.
Overall, it was a very good, if not perfect experience and I recommend and would use Amerifreight again.
