Moving from Iowa to Pennsylvania. First contact with Carlos was on Friday, July 17. I originally wanted my car to be picked up on Friday/Sat but he explained that it would be hard since those were heavy days. He said Wed/Thurs would work better. I agreed on Thursday. I also stated very clearly that I wanted my car to be delivered on the 29th. No earlier or later. He said that he would make sure it was delivered on that day. He called me back on Monday July 20 saying that he found a carrier who could pick up my car on Tues/Wed. I agreed on Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon at 1pm I get a call from Alex from Imperial Auto Transport Inc (my carrier) saying that he was picking up my car at 3pm. I told him NO, that I had arranged my car to be picked up on Wednesday. He didn't really understand me so I told him I would call Carlos. I did and asked Carlos to call Alex to tell him to pick up my car on Wednesday. He agreed and said he would call me back. I waited 2 hrs. Never got a call back. Called Carlos again and he said he got distracted and forgot to call me back. I don't remember what he said to me on that phone conversation. I ended up calling Alex (my carrier) again and he still said that he was coming to get my car at 3pm. I asked him to come get it at 4pm. He agreed. I rushed home from work to prep my car and was ready for pickup at 4pm. Alex didn't show up until 5:30pm.

Fast forward to Wednesday, July 29th. I fly into PA around 1:15pm. I text Alex telling him I would be ready for delivery after 2:30pm. I wait until 5pm before calling Alex. He says that he won't be able to deliver my car until the following morning. So I call Carlos again. He picks up and says that he'll call Alex to see what's up. I wait another 40min before calling Carlos again. He did not pick up. I left a message saying that I was not very happy because I specifically said that I wanted my car on the 29th. Not before and not after that date. I had to get a taxi to run errands that night.

The next morning, July 20th, Alex calls me at 7:15am telling me he'll be dropping off in approximately 15min. I call Carlos right after. He picked up but I think he realized it was me, so he hung up without saying anything. I called him right back, and ended up having to leave a message. I told him I wanted a partial refund of $51 because that was what I had to pay the taxi cab to run errands. I never got a phone call back.

Alex finally shows up at right before 8am with my car. This next part is completely my fault so I don't blame Alex for being upset. I knew I had to pay $500 upon delivery but for some reason I thought they would just charge my credit card like they did the $200 deposit. So I ended up making Alex wait 45 minutes while I called a cab and ran to the bank to get money.

Overall, I think things could have been better with the timing. I don't think I was a very demanding customer. I felt I was very clear and reasonable on what I wanted. I chose All American Transport was because they have a 5 star on this site not because they were the cheapest. I don't feel that's what I got. I will most probably not get a partial refund since he already has my money and won't call me back. This was my first time using a car transport and my experience was not good. I will probably use a car transport company again but not this one.
