Ship A Car Direct is excellent - I would not go anywhere else

I contacted Kay (based on an internet search) at ShipACar Direct about 6 weeks before my planned move cross-country. She responded immediately, then explained how SACD service differed from other providers, approximate timing to get a quote, and lots of information about how the car would be shipped (using a local carrier). She'd check back every week, and gave me a rough quote which turned out to be competitive/slightly higher than other providers (but I had done my research and was finding that all the reviews for SACD were very strong; I wanted a company I could trust with my car, so I was willing to pay a bit more - about $50 higher than other quotes). I also had to switch my planned shipping date twice - Kay helped with that. About a week before my initial shipping date, she gave me a finalized quote (was right on target with original estimate), and provided me with the carrier, MGL Transport (again, I would recommend them 100%) and their contact information. I set up a date/time to drop off our car (with the help of their dispatch office, since we'd moved out of our house and were heading towards the airport, they let us drop it off at the shipping depot 7 miles from O'Hare). The carrier was easy to get a hold of/work with - we met on a Monday around 5 p.m., the car was checked over thoroughly by MGL/the carrier, and it was loaded onto to the open bed (top level, even though I was okay with lower level). On the following Thursday, I got a text update from the driver/carrier, saying the car would arrive either Saturday or Sunday - he would let me know on Friday. Was notified on Friday the car was definitely being delivered Sunday morning between 9 - 9:30 a.m. The driver arrived exactly on time, after calling me 30 minutes prior to delivery. He unloaded the car, asked me to examine it closely and compare it to the bill of lading. There was no additional damage, the car was in great shape, and everything went extremely smoothly. I would not hesitate to use SACD again, or MGL (in Illinois/based out of Des Plaines). They are both fantastic.
