Longer process than anticipated

I had never completed this process before, so my expectations were higher. DIY had a competitive quote and they were one of the first to contact me. They had good reviews and a good BBB rating so that's why I chose them. I confirmed my business with DIY on Monday and my car wasn't booked for transport until Thursday afternoon. Despite being told my car would be picked up on Friday morning, it wasn't picked up until Saturday afternoon and wasn't delivered until Tuesday the following week. I had some issues coordinating transport with my dealership; DIY had a driver on Wednesday and my dealership contact was out that day. Once I was able to get a dealership contact for the driver to communicate with, the driver was no longer responsive. Once I increased the price I was willing to pay for the transport, a driver was booked in minutes. I had to check with DIY every day to ensure that they were still working on my request, which was a little frustrating. If I were to do this again, I'd pay a little higher price in the beginning to ensure the process ended faster.

Hello Liz, I am sorry to hear about things not being satisfactory with your transport. In regards to driver dispatch, we generally operate within a 1-5 day window from the ready date. That Thursday fell within that window. As far the communication with the driver, we are taking steps to make sure that EVERY driver keeps in mind the importance of keeping in contact with customers. The increase in price was based on the route and changes within the route. I apologize if things were not explained clearly during the placement of the order and we will definitely take the necessary actions to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
