Good Customer Service, Limited Flexibility

I chose to use Amerifreight because of their excellent customer ratings. While the service was good, the flexibility of the carrier they found was not. I cannot have my phone on me at work, particularly when I'm out on training ops, and trying to organize the carrier to pick up my car from my parents house at a time when they were home and to drop it off during non-working hours was more of a hassle then I was expecting. They took good care of my car, but I was pretty much at their mercy when it came to pick up and drop off times as well as pricing. I needed to get my car from CT to FL as soon as possible, so when it took them about a week to find a carrier, the carrier then asked for an additional $200 to deliver the car, which I didn't have much of a choice in paying because I had to get it down here. I know for a fact it doesn't cost $1000 to ship from CT to FL, because I shipped the same car from Los Angeles to CT 3 years ago for $650 with a faster turnaround. But that's more of a supply and demand issue. Other than that, they took care of my car and got it down here pretty quickly once it was picked up.
