I needed shipping my vehicle from Detroit area to Seattle area. I think the services provided by Ali Miller of AmericFreight are excellent, including quickly sending me the original estimation, helping me to get the order placed by the phone, the further communications by emails (I prefer the email due to it gives me a written record), and the followup to confirm the final vehicle delivery.
One surprise for my vehicle shipping is that the carrier truck was broken down during the shipping due to the need for transmission replacement. I fully understand this could happen even nobody likes it. The truck driver was very good to communicate with me about the truck repair status and the new time for the vehicle delivery. My vehicle was delivered in good conditions after 6 days delay which is not too bad.
For the shipping price, for a vehicle shipping from Detroit to Seattle, a few companies estimated $1200 (including $200 paid to the broker company), AmericFreight estimated $995 (including $275 paid to AmericFreight). The original low price estimation is the main reason I had chosen AmericFreight. When I was told one driver was interested in shipping my vehicle but was asking for $1000, this actually added the total price to $1275 (including $275 paid to AmericFreight). To deny the offer for a better price would mean to delay the vehicle shipping which was not what I wanted, therefore I took the $1275 offer. This ended up with $75 more compared with the estimation by a few other companies. My experience is that if you want a lowest final price, you should go to a broker company with the lowest fee, because the driver has a fixed normal price for shipping a vehicle from location A to location B and you can't expect the driver charge you less for this job.
