This was the first time I shipped a car and was not aware of how it worked. I gave the dates of when the car would be available to transport about 4 weeks prior to shipping. I followed up a few times to see if a carrier was established and date set, but was told that it was still being worked on. On the 1st day that I said the car would be available I received a call from a driver that they were going to pick up the car in 1-2 hours. I was not prepared and was at work. I would have liked someone to explain how the transport arrangements work and that I should expect a call at any time. Or be given more notice to make arrangements for someone to be with the car or bring the car to my work so it could be picked up from there. This was worked out and the car picked up the next day by a different driver. Customers should be made aware in advance of what to expect (especially 1st time customers).
