Overall, I am satisfied with Ship-A-Car-Direct. They were friendly and prompt. They responded to my emails in timely manner. My car arrived safely, which is the most important thing. I would use them again, but there were some problems.

WED:
Ship-A-Car-Direct got me a carrier to pick-up the car in two days. The carrier I was assigned was ADC Transport. Once carrier is assigned, you are going to be in contact with the carrier for the most part, not Ship-A-Car-Direct.

FRI:
The pick up date was very fast and I was very happy with it; however, I could start to feel that I have to be the one keep calling ADC because they do not contact you very much and they call you just 1-2 hours before something is going to happen. Make sure to keep calling to ask about when is the pick up, confirmation(?) about the pick-up, and etc. You NEVER get a real CONFIRMATION in this business so you need to make sure that everything is going according to plan.

SUN
I honestly believe ADC tried to provide good service, but their system is very poor. They told me the car will be delivered Tues. when it was picked up Friday Afternoon. I was very excited because it was faster than I expected. Again, I am the one who have to keep calling ADC to find out stuff. I called ADC Sun to make sure everything is good. Person told me the car will arrive Tues. around 4pm,

MON
Monday afternoon, I called again to make sure. They told me they will return the call, which they did. I am a very careful person who likes to get double confirmation on everything. My personality helped in this scenario. They told me the truck broke down so the delivery will be around 7pm on Wed. instead of Tues. I am frustrated, but I understand the nature of business and they were doing their best so I just went along with it. I did not give them a hard time. So I adjusted my schedule.

TUES
I called Tues. to make sure that it is getting delivered on Wed. 7pm and she said, Yes. So I adjusted my schedule so that I can pick up the car.

WED
I called ADC Wed. morning to get a confirmation that the car is getting delivered today around 7pm. She told me it might not get delivered till MIDNIGHT/Thurs Morning!!!! because the person before me cannot pick up the car until 9:00pm. Driver could not come to me first because the distance was 160miles apart. I was just speechless at this point. AGAIN, I was the one who called to find about this news. They did not call me as soon as they found about this. ADC said that they will try to make the person before me pick up the car earlier. They told they will call me after they talk to this person.

Again, I don't get a phone call back so I have to call them again to find out what is happening. She told me the person cannot pick up the car till 9pm. At this point, I adjusted my schedule again to get my car at Midnight. (This all happened early WED). I got the word that they will deliver the car around midnight. So at this point, driver was just chilling in Virginia doing nothing. Just waiting for the car to get picked up and he can plan ahead. I got a call around 10pm saying, the driver is too tired and the road is too dark. They were not going to deliver the car till tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!At this point, I lose it little bit because they had so many opportunities to plan this out, but bailed out at the last second AGAIN. The woman was very apologetic and I knew they were trying to give me good service. At least they were not rude and they answered all my questions. So I tried to think positively, I ask when is the car going to be delivered. She said 7am on Thurs. She told me to wake up before 6:30am to answer the phone.

THURS
I woke up at 6am to answer the phone. DO NOT GET A DAMN CALL. I am the one calling them AGAIN. She told me that she will tell the driver to call me. Driver called me 7:10am and told me the car will be delivered around 7:30am. So I go outside around 7:30am in cold windy weather. I waited for 25mins, but I get no phone call and I don't see the truck. I called ADC again. ADC told me that they will tell the driver to call me. Only then, the driver calls me and said, he got pulled over. This driver could not leave me a text or call me while I waited outside???? At this point, I would not be surprised if my car gets hit by a meteor. Finally, I got a call around 9:30am saying the car will be delivered in 10mins or so. Car finally comes. Car is good condition and the driver is polite.

Overall, I would use Ship-A-Car-Direct again because after 4hours of searching for the best broker, it seemed like Ship-A-Car-Direct was that company. And the carrier they picked was good people. Friendly and etc. But to be blunt, they were very disorganized and communication was a big problem. My advice to you is keep calling to make sure everything is ok.

Thank you for your honest and very complete feedback! Sorry the driver was not as proactive at the double-confirmation calls you wanted, and sorry that carriers can't always give you a solid arrival time well in advance. It is absolutely your right to call to check up on your driver - or call us so we can help - but another strategy is to assume no call means no news yet. Thanks for your patience!
