I was a bit leery at first having never shipped a car, but everything worked out great. I read the favorable reviews on this site for Ship a Car Direct and called them. As advertised, I did not have to pay anything until they set up a carrier. I gave a first available date and the carrier notified us he would pick up the car on that date. He did, and the next day he sent me a text message stating his estimated arrival. Within two days of arrival he texted me again to confirm his arrival and an estimated time of day. He arrived within 15 minutes of the estimate. The car was a little dirty, but there were no issues with damage or anything else. The driver was courteous both with my wife at pick-up, and with me at delivery. I would definitely use this company again if the need arises.
