OK, it is time to rave. I tried using another company that was supposedly highly rated about ten days before I was to leave town and needed my car picked up, and was told "no problem" and given what I thought was a good price. I emailed my contact info, and never heard back. Called and could sense the confusion. After a week, when I only had a few days left, I called Auto Shipping Group and was lucky to get Chell. She was fantastic! I got clear, honest answers to all my questions, confirmation of the order immediately, calls and emails checking up on things, and most importantly Chell was able to get my car picked on short notice. She knew that I was leaving town, and made sure that the carrier knew of our schedule. She was also HONEST. She told me that the price I was quoted by the other company was too low to be able to rely on if we wanted a quick pickup. While she said that she could try to match, ultimately the issue is that there were a lot of cars that were waiting to travel in our direction and a low bid to the carriers would mean that we would have to cross our fingers. The price was a little more than the other company, but consistent with what I actually needed to pay since what I did NOT need was a BS quote that would not get my car picked up before I left town. The driver showed up on time, with a clean and well maintained truck, and had my car across country in 5 days in perfect shape other than the dirt from going through rain and snow. He was polite and helpful. Through it all, Chell checked in and made sure all was right. I have transported cars across country several times before, and often you get told how great things will be beforehand, only to find that you can barely find out what is happening after you give them a deposit. I was so worried about your transport- from the beginning it seemed you were receiving bad information and low-balled quotes when all you really needed was to find a reliable carrier to get the job done. I wish I could take all the credit for my ability to offer such sparkling customer service, but I really must pass the buck on to my employers. I have worked MANY different types of customer service positions and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that my bosses believe that my ability to follow through from pick up to delivery is paramount.
