Nightmare!

Gilbert was the first person to contact me once I put my information out there about having our car transported. He was up front about how the process works and told me who would be calling and how they would all lie to me. Turns out Gilbert is the liar too!

His fee is $199. Then he posts your vehicle info up on a dispatch website so drivers can log in and pick up cars and make money. I gave Gilbert 3 weeks to find me a transport. Of course, I didn't hear from him so I had to contact HIM AGAIN to get a driver.

He gets me a driver the day before I leave - not a real comfortable feeling but I wanted to trust Gilbert as a PROFESSIONAL!!! He told me it would start at $400 and maybe go up from there. It turned out to be $500. BBBBBUUUUTTTT.....not really.

After I did some research, it turns out that $500 is really really cheap to transport from Vegas to East Texas and Gilbert did his shuck and jive on the driver who then said - when he showed up - that he needed $200 CASH in order to take my car - ON TOP OF THE $500 I HAVE TO PAY ONCE THE CAR GETS TO TEXAS!

So here's my situation. The moving truck is gone - I have a suitcase, a dog and two very expensive plane tickets. I didn't want to spend 3 days traveling by myself with a dog - driving. I had paid a lot of money for two plane tickets and a 2 hour plane ride. He's got me and he knows it.

I pay the driver the cash.

The driver, Robinson, then says - "ok, see you on Saturday!" Friday, he calls and says I'm in Dallas! I'm like - great! (This was via text) I will see you tomorrow then - because tomorrow is Saturday - the day he said we should pick up the car, right? Wrong!

The driver then sends me a text and says you have one hour to get to Dallas, I am going home and taking your car with me. Just an FYI, it takes TWO hours to get to Dallas. My husband gets in contact with the driver and makes arrangements to meet him where it is convenient for HIM, not US! I call Gilbert - guess what? doesn't answer the phone - IMAGINE THAT!

NOWWWWWW! This is the big one! Very conveniently, his father is has now had a heart attack and is in a coma and he's in the hospital and he can't help me.

This, by the way, is how far Gilbert will go. You see, I am the jerk because I am asking him to do his job when things have gone south and his father is almost dead. I swear to God, I would love to see PROOF that his father was actually in the hospital - but I get it - it's code - don't bother me. I never called him again - I said a prayer for him and his father and his family and said don't bother - I will handle this - take care of your family.

Gilbert sends me a text back and says - I will refund my fee. Then he charges me for it.

I still have the text, thank Goodness, so I am going to be able to successfully dispute his dispute and will get my money back. Yes, I said dispute his dispute. He says he won't charge me then does. I dispute it with my bank and he disputes it back! I HAVE A TEXT MESSAGE FROM HIM WITH HIS PHONE NUMBER ON THE TEXT SAYING HE WILL REFUND ME AND HE'S DISPUTING THE CHARGES? IDIOT!!

But Gilbert is a slick one. He talks a lot of smack and will make up a TON OF EXCUSES about how the whole thing is YOUR fault and not his - I was reading some of his rebuttals and he doesn't accept responsibility for ANYTHING!

Warning! Run for the hills - do your research and don't listen to everyone of them - do your research! Clearly, if you can drive it, do it - I would never do this again! I'm sure Gilbert has many good nights sleep because he is a man without a conscious and that's what a psychopath does. Seriously - screwing people over is clearly his specialty and I'm glad he's compensated so many other people to say nice things about him but I'm going to be compensated his $199 broker fee for telling the TRUTH!

Wow Kara and I am really surprised with your review but next time HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.Yes and Thank you for your concerns MY Dad PASSED AWAY..but you as customer really don't even care about that. Going back to your what you are complaining about..Your shipment is from CA to EL PASO and you don't what to pay so we decided to shipped it to Dalls where you could meet the driver.I found you a carrier and when he shows up at your location you filled up your vehicle up to the window.lastly when the drivers was about to deliver the car to you.He texted you first thing in the morning and you never called him back so during that time..the driver was calling me at my dad's FUNERAL.you told him to wait there at 5 or 6pm even though he told you a that he will be there by 12 in the afternoon.Sorry that you feel that way as a consumer.The driver is not only delivering your vehicle and Thank you very much for your comment I CAN SLEEP at night because I had a death in the family and I wish you the best.
