Note: While I was not given monetary or any other incentive to write a review, I was "required" to provide reviews on several sites as part of my contract with AF. They state in their "Delivery Confirmation Requirements" that , "if you do complete a review and it asks if you are being compensated, please do not select that option." While I can see why they want reviews, and I know it's still my choice whether to provide them, I'm never comfortable when a company makes me promise to provide them, just so I can purchase their service.

The pickup and delivery went very well. All parties were reliable and, once they located a carrier, the car was picked up on time and delivered a day earlier than I expected. The AF rep was responsive to emails and answered questions. The quoting process itself was a bit nebulous, perhaps because I've never transported a car so I didn't know the ins and outs.

When I contacted AF I thought it was as simple as getting a quote and that's what you pay. However, the quote is not actually fixed, and you will actually be paying two separate entities. AF's fee is $250 to publish your transport request in their system and wait for various carriers to quote their fee for the job. AF then presents those offers to your, and you have an hour or so to accept or reject a quote before it expires (and the carrier finds another car fill that space). The carrier's fee is quoted separately, and AF does not handle payment to them. You have to pay them in cash on delivery of the car. In all, I wound up paying $100 more than the "quote."

None of this seems shady, just kinda typical sales tactics. No doubt it's in AF's best interest to "quote" you the lowest possible fee that you would be paying to make it sound as attractive as possible.

In the end, they did exactly the job I asked them to do, and the car was delivered quickly and safely, with no complications. Just be aware that when you get a "quote," it's not a fixed quote, and you should take it with a grain of salt and expect to pay more than you thought when all is said and done.
