Cross Country Move

To preface this review I want to state my mindset first. This was my first move where I had to hire other people to handle things. I had never shipped a vehicle, I had no knowledge of the industry, and I was simply uncomfortable with the idea of handing over my (wife's) car over to a stranger so I started this transport hunt with hesitation. As I was hunting for information and requesting quotes (I strongly recommend NOT using those cheap quote finder websites to request one, so glad I used a google voice number as it probably received 50+ calls) I came to understand a little bit how the industry works. I also received a wide range of quotes from $2600 to $980. I decided to go with AutoShippingGroup (ASG) primarily due to their large number of positive reviews as I take user responses into high consideration, especially as I had no experience with the business market as a whole.
I filled out the ASG quote form and received information from Nancy extremely quickly. She was not pushy but was very confident in their ability to safely and efficiently move my vehicle. I had a fairly tight schedule for when it needed to get out and when I needed it to arrive on the other side of the country. From my industry reading I understand that these contracts had variable dates built into them due to issues which could pop up but was hoping to not have any such issues myself. Upon providing Nancy my information she set the bid online and within a few hours I had a carrier set (she called back immediately). The carrier was a new company (Speedy Auto Shipping out of Spokane WA) with only 2 reviews which again made me hesitant but Nancy convinced me they were safe and reliable but if I had wanted to request a second posting for bid I could. I went with SAS.
On to the actual transport: the pickup occurred within the allotted timeslot, it was actually the morning after my hoped for date but still worked without a problem. The driver was observant and efficient at identifying all the small apartment-living scratches the car had. Took less than 15 minutes for pickup. When I arrived in VA Nancy kept me updated as to the location of my vehicle multiple times. The carrier was delayed a few days but still arrived within the allotted time period of the contract with a slightly dirty (snow in Montana) but otherwise exactly as shipped vehicle.
I am writing this mainly to ease the minds of other people like me who are really hesitant about shipping their vehicle the first time. I wont say everything will go perfectly but it all worked almost exactly as planned with ASG and SAS for me (all within contract) and I have no complaints as they got me my car as I needed it. I would like to thank Nancy, ASG, and SAS for the efficient and effective manner in which they did business and I would use them again if I need to move back across the country.
