We needed 2 vehicles moved from Houston TX to the SF Bay Area in CA. Overall the experience was good. Jason was good guiding us through the process. The challenge was that most first time movers would like things to be completely settled at least a week before. But it seems like the industry doesn't work that way. In the end, we were able to get confirmation about 4 days before but it was certainly making some folks on our end nervous.

Once the transport company was arranged, the process in terms of payment and billing was exactly as Jason explained it.

The transport company itself ultimately delivered everything without too much trouble. The primary challenges was that communication was never that proactive. I was generally able to reach the transport company when I called but they never really called back when they said they would. They would pick up if I called them though.

On the night before the pickup, we agreed that they would try to arrange pickup at 8:30 a.m. Ultimately, it took until 11:30 a.m. before they picked up the vehicles.

On drop-off they originally stated Friday and then moved it to Saturday. On Saturday, they asked it they could move it to Monday which I refused. They ultimately dropped off the vehicles on Saturday afternoon. They were always polite and not pushy but again if you are thinking Fedex or UPS where you can count on a delivery time, you'd be sorely disappointed.

In the end, I would likely use Ship A Car Direct again because it seems like they are knowledgeable about the industry. It just seems like the nature of the industry is not what regular folks are used to when it comes to shipping and delivery.
