Driver wanted me to come to deserted parking lot late at night to pick up my car

The company contracted by Nationwide Transport Services, PK Line, is not even listed on this website. The driver sent me a text message at 10:25 PM on Thursday, August 21 that he was waiting for me at Target near the Garden State Parkway Exit 135. Delivery time was supposed to be between 5 - 8 PM and the contract clearly stated that the delivery address was my home. When I called the driver, he would not drive the truck to my house and said that I had to pick up my car where he was. After arguing with him, finally he said that he would drive the car itself to my house if I would give him a ride back to his truck. I agreed to do so and called the police. They came, eventually the driver showed up after another phone call (he was still waiting in the parking lot), and the police drove him back to his truck.
I called Nationwide 3 times the next day, Friday August 22, and left voice messages about this situation. I only received a call back on Monday August 25 after posting negative reviews on social media and various websites. The person with whom I spoke said things such as "what if there were low-lying trees" amongst other excuses - there are no low-lying trees in front of my house or my neighbors' homes. I also said that if there was going to be a change in delivery address for any reason whatsoever I should have been informed in advance, not more than 2 hours after delivery was due and certainly not to a deserted parking lot late at night.
Nationwide tried to get this review removed by saying I wasn't an actual customer, and I verified that I in fact was.
This is not a company to be trusted.

We apologized for the inconvenience and offered a $100 discount for having to meet the driver later than anticipated. We try our best to meet all of the schedules but sometimes the drivers get caught in traffic or other unforeseen events and can cause these minor delays which can be an inconvenience to some.
