My transport was of a 1971 Pontiac Catalina convertible. Ultimately the issue became one of size - because the car is over 19ft long it would have taken the space of two cars on the truck. Understandably truckers wanted double the typical transport fee.
Kim did her best to try to find a trucker to take on the assignment at a reasonable price but no deal. Ultimately I was unwilling to pay $1,800 and drove the Catalina from Pittsburgh to LA via Old Route 66 and had a blast!
