Originally, I ordered to have my vehicle picked-up by another company (Assurance Auto Transport) for the estimated p/u date scheduled for 7/7/2014. I accepted the online estimated quote of $895.00 from Assurance Auto Transport; which after calling and confirming the order with a representative, the fee was FINALIZED at the price of $950.00. I was told that the window period for p/u could be 1-7 days to find a carrier. Nealy midway through this window period(four days later), I received a call stating that the original final price has changed from $950 to $1,058. The representative suggested that I should accept the new quote since they're having a hard time finding a carrier. I exclaimed that I don't have to accept that price since that wasn't what we confirmed on. The representative then explained that I can continue to wait, but my vehicle would NOT be picked up until the end of next week, possibly. -Remind you, I was reassured that my vehicle will be picked up within 1-7 business days, not 10. By the 7th business day, I had to cancel due to the company's lack of progress and execution. I cancelled on 7/15/2014. However, the company did send an automated apology through email...
On the 7/15/14, I extensively reevaluated auto shipping companies through transportreviews.com and Google. After fishing through numerous of other useless companies, I finally came across Transport Connection! THANK YOU GOD! Seriously. -Please understand this: By the 9th of July, I had already moved to MD with my vehicle being left behind AWAITING to be shipped. I could no long stand behind in WA due to military orders. So at this point, my tolerance was at a minimum. I decided to do an online quote with Transport Connect. By that afternoon, I received a call from Bill(the owner himself). First impression: A business man, direct, New Yorker/blunt, and sincere about his industry. Bill was about his business. I explained my situation and frustration to Bill. Not only was he able to find a tow company/dispatcher in a matter of minutes, he called the company on 3-way/conference; which I spoke to the dispatcher personally(Paul, at SAFE TRANSPORTERS INC.)...but that's not all. Bill further exclaimed my situation to the dispatcher, and then the dispatcher made ANOTHER conference call which I PERSONALLY SPOKE TO THE TRUCK DRIVER(Tan) who was available to pick-up my vehicle that very next morning! After all that headache Ive been through with other companies, Bill wanted to ensure that he can GUARANTEE the job will be done safely!
-The final price I was given by Bill at Transport Connection was not only satisfactory, but was guaranteed and FINAL...no price jumps here! The most amazing deal of this all, not only did my vehicle ARRIVE SAFE, but it arrived 3 DAYS EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED. The driver personally kept in contact via mobile to work out the right time for delivery. TO OTHER AUTO SHIPPING COMPANIES: Please take advice and notes on how to properly run a business from Bill Avrich, at Transport Connection. A further special thanks to Safe Transporter Inc. and Tan the Driver for your service.
