I scheduled a pick up from Connecticut to South Carolina with a 3 day window for pick up. The first available pick up date was 6/29/2014. I was not able to get a hold of anyone at the company for about two days. I spoke to a rep on Tuesday 7/1 and was told she had no idea when the pick up would arrive. I called again on Wed, and Thursday. Still no idea when the driver would show up. I had no one to leave the car with. And had to leave CT on 7/3/14.

I spoke with another company who advised me my car was sitting on a brokerage website waiting for a driver to take the bid,and it was probably due to the fact that the quote was too low. I understand the quote was inexpensive compared to others. I even left a voice mail to American Auto Transport on Thursday saying I was willing to pay more if that would get the attention of more drivers. I received no call backs after that. Last minute I rented a hitch from Uhaul, and drove the car myself, since I could not get another last minute pick up. I finally received a call from a driver one week after the first available pick update. What bothered me the most was that this company PROMISED it would not go past the 3 day pick up window. They were very deceiving. Most companies say 3-7 days and even though it is not what we want to her it is less insulting to speak with the truth.

If you have a strict travel date scheduled and do not have someone to leave the car with, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
