So I contacted Jenny after receiving a quote of $1250. She was very helpful and I appreciate her quick response in resolving my issues. My main issues were not with Q Auto Transport but with the actual carrier Abraham Express. I requested my Saab to be picked up on 6/26/14 however Jenny stated that the driver would not be able to pick up until 6/28/14. So I called Abraham Express on June 26, 2014 to confirm the pick time and was told by Frank that is will actually being picked up on 6/27/14 instead. Naturally I was happy because it was one day closer to my initial request date. So I called Jenny back to confirm and she did not know about the schedule change, so she contacted them and they finally confirm the date of 6/27/14.
On 6/27/14, my husband received a call from Abraham Express rep/driver stating that the open carrier truck is too big and will not fit on our street. The driver requested that we meet him in the back of Lowe’s Hardware store. (Sounds sketchy, right???) So my husband meet at the agreed upon location and the driver was very nice and took a detail report for the bill of lading.
After that day, we did not hear from any of the companies. So I finally called Abraham Express on 7/5/14 and spoke with Frank. I asked when will my Saab be delivered to me and he informed me that it was already in CA and it will have to be delivered on Monday 7/7/14 because the truck was already full for deliveries on 7/5/14 and they were closed on 7/6/14. After hearing that, I asked if I could pick up my Saab instead and he said yes. So we drove to 30mins. to Abraham Express. Our Saab was dirty but arrived in one piece with no additional cost.
So other than the communication issues stated above Q Auto Transport is a good agent and Abraham Express is a good carrier. We would definitely use them again if we ever leave California!
