Terrible experience, would not recommend Crossroads.

I am still waiting to get my deposit back - it has been over 2 months! I decided to go with another transport company who offered a lower rate, but had put down a $100 deposit with Crossroads, as I was told that the deposit would be refunded if I chose to go with another transportation company.

I have called several times and keep getting the runaround answer that "your refund will go out this Friday". I've called about 10 times, emailed twice, and the last time I spoke with Rob, he told me that they'd had issues with a staff member who was handling the billing/refunds, and she had since then left the company. He assured me that I would get my deposit back shortly. It has been two weeks, and I called AGAIN this morning and he told me it would go out this Friday. I'll believe it when I see it.

Definitely would not recommend Crossroads Auto Transport based on my experience.

UPDATE: 7/14/14 - I have finally received my deposit back, but not after much heckling from Crossroads. After I put this review up on www.transportreviews.com, Daniel from their service department contacted me to take it down, assuring me I would receive the money back in my account over the next few days, and that he hopes I could "find it in my heart" to take the review down. I told him I would consider it once I receive my money back, but that it's important other customers know of this malpractice. An hour later I received a notice from Transportreviews.com that said the following: "This email is to let you know your review was removed from our site at www.transportreviews.com. The reason for removal is that Crossroads Auto Transport is unable to locate your order and has no way of proving that you are a customer of theirs. Transport Reviews.com wants your review on our site. However, we do require that you be a customer of the auto transport company that you review and AT THE COMPANY's REQUEST we run our non-customer review process to verify you are a customer of theirs."

After I sent in the necessary verification information (credit card statement, email correspondence), my post was placed back up on this site. No more than 5 minutes later I received a phone call from Daniel, who was furious with me for putting this review back up (even though I never took it down in the first place - they had lied and said I wasn't a customer of their). I told him I would not take it down so he threatened to not give me my deposit back. I can't believe that a company would let their employees speak to their customers like that. Daniel was so heated up that shortly after he started yelling, the business owner Rob Lananna had to intervene and apologized, telling me to "cool off" for a few days and let the refund process.

I have since then received threatening texts from Daniel that he was going to reverse my refund. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. I would upload the texts here but am unable to. One text message states "Remember who has your personal info".

I hope something will be done about this before Crossroads unjustly steals money from others.

Kathleen, We are sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience with Crossroads Auto Transport. Obviously you just cant please everyone. You hired us to transport your vehicle and we tried, We sent two different drivers out to your location to pickup your vehicle for the EXACT price you were originally quoted. It states specifically in a contract that you signed that "If a driver comes out to your location and you provided no notification of cancellation then you are required to pay a "$100 dry run fee" You refused both drivers for who knows why. Even though you did it twice, we STILL REFUNDED YOU. Daniel is in sales and we do not have and have never heard of an "Service Department" If you didnt have a great experience fine, but do not lie. Every customer of Daniels has been absolutely happy with their service as you can see from the previous 50 reviews. You were not even a customer of Daniel's. No one ever threatened you as we dont have the time to waste nor would tolerate any such thing. Best of luck to you. Word of advice, next time you hire a company to do a job and they follow through exactly as expected then you cancel for your own personal reasoning, pls dont leave people bad reviews lying.
