They got the job done

This is the second company that I tried to ship my car with. The first company couldn't get any transporter to come to my suburb outside of Chicago. I couldn't understand this because I don't live in the middle of nowhere so it shouldn't have been a big deal. However, I guess June and July are the busiest months of the year for transporting cars so the transporters can be as picky as they want.

I worked with Portia over the phone and she eventually was able to find someone to pick up my car but at a higher price than I wanted. I had to pay $1600 to ship my car from IL to CA on an open transport trailer, which is a very high to me but I guess that's what happens in June. I paid about half that price to do the same job last August. We really had no choice but to pay this price as we wanted our car as soon as possible.

Once the car was finally picked up, we were told it would arrive 7 days later. It actually arrived a day early, which was a fantastic surprise. The driver, Bayar, was very courteous, friendly, and professional. We texted him to check on the progress a few days into the drive and we received an immediate update. Excellent service. The car arrived in pretty good condition. No scratches but it definitely got dirty, which I was expecting. No big deal, I took it to a hand car wash right after I got it and cleaned it up.

Overall, once we were finally able to agree to pick it up, everything went smoothly. Just beware that you may have to pay more than you expect depending on where you live and when you try to ship your car (but don't worry, they won't surprise you, they'll let you know first).
