Initially I was pleased with the service and the shipping quote of $1200. Then I received a call close to the day I needed to ship the car from a second representative from AmeriFreight. He stated that he had found a car carrier but it would be $50 more than originally quoted. That was reasonable so I accepted. It turned out to be $550 more than quoted. I'm in the military and did not have time to find another option because the final contract came the day before the car needed to ship. Perhaps there was a mistake by the broker when they quoted me $50 instead of $550 more than originally quoted. In my mind, it is more likely that this was a bait and switch because they knew I was on a tight timeline. The car shipping company was fast and delivered the car with no issues.
