This is my second time using Amerifreight. Due to my good experience the first time I chose to use them again. This time I had 2 vehicles to ship from AZ to NY.
The Good: Graham was wonderful with explaining the process, answering questions and keeping me up to date about any changes that needed to be made. My 2 vehicles were picked up 1 day after my available date and dropped off to me before the promised date, 4 days total (very fast).
The Bad: My cars were delivered with no warning. I was told that I would be notified the day prior to arrange for delivery, instead they were brought to my house while I wasn't home. I got a text message saying your cars are at your house please call us. I had to drop my plans and get back to meet the driver and feel rushed through the exterior inspection because the driver had been waiting. I inspected the exterior of the cars as we did on pick up, signed and the driver left.
The Ugly: THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR WAS DAMAGED!!! There was not an inspection for the interior and never would have thought to closely examine the inside of the car. It was obvious that the inside of my 4Runner had been used to transport some kind of cargo. There were scratches all along the top of my glove box, a deep gouge to the center console, small green markings throughout the interior on the upholstery and various things in the car, and my children's car seats were unlatched from the seats. I sent pictures and confronted Unlimited Transportation LLC about the problem and they denied having transported anything or damaging the vehicle. They only offered to have the car detailed at his cousin's shop. The green markings brushed off easily, so cleanliness was not the big issue, the damage was not addressed! And having just been lied to, I will not trust my vehicle to this family for any type of business.
I understand that the insurance is pretty minimal for transporting vehicles (only covers driver loading and unloading), however, there NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANYTHING IN MY CAR! Amerifreight says it would be the responsibility of Unlimited Transportation LLC and Unlimited Transportation LLC denies the damage, so this leaves me ???
Bottom Line: I WOULD NEVER USE UNLIMITED TRANSPORTATION AGAIN!
