Sleezy & borderline criminal

Absolutely the worst kind of people to do business with. They give the honest working individuals of New York a bad name. I was quoted $385... as you can see, total price ended up being $795.

Their business model is to quote ridiculously low with no intention of ever fulfilling the price, have you pay their fee upfront, then AFTER the truck picks up your vehicle, they switch the price, nearly doubling it, and inform you afterwards... Now, the truckers have taken your vehicle, the broker gives you NO means to contact them if you refuse the price; then one of the brokers, Paul Ryan or Frank Allen, proceed to threaten you illegally saying that you will pay the NEW price regardless of whether you accept it or not. If you don't they will leave your car in the middle of nowhere, or bring it back to NY and put a mechanic's lien on it, then sell it, or a variety of other illegal extortion tactics. Basically "we have your car, and if you want it, you will pay any price we deem fit." That's how they run shop.

These are the kinda people that threatened to add citation fines for a "speeding ticket" to my bill if he got pulled over because he was talking to my LAWYER while driving & on the phone. Really?

Of course, they can't make good on any of their threats, because they know as well it would be illegal to do so. It's all hot air. However, that leaves you in the position of either taking your vehicle and cheating the truckers out of money they were promised when they put it on the ground, or paying extra (you may have to do this anyway if the truckers refuse to put it on the ground without being paid first).

Like I said, these guys are borderline criminal con-artists. I see this has happened to a few others, as well. If anyone is interested in bringing up a class action lawsuit to stamp out these frauds, you have my full support.
