I recently relocated from SF bay area to DC area. I couldn't just send my car early (because I needed it) but I scheduled it to be moved as soon as I could. Montway had to change the pickup date to the 1st of April for the carrier. Also, the CASH that I had to give to the carrier was raised to $650, but montway refunded me the difference. (Make sure you have the CASH ready on the pickup date if you choose this discounted route)

The carrier *did* arrive on time at my parents' house (I was already in VA) April 1st and said that the car should be there in 4-5 days. This would have been perfect for the week long car rental I was allocated for work. Unfortunately, the car came in 7 days later, the day after my rental needed to be turned in. I did a bike commute, which was no big deal, but it did hold me up in terms of arriving at the house on time in the afternoon (given my lack of familiarity with the area).

The carrier immediately pointed out that my side view mirror was taken off. According to him, someone stole the glass after violently removing the mirror housing, which he had in the car. This may be true, or maybe he or someone else hit the mirror with a bad parking job. Regardless, he showed me some E-bay listings of mirrors for my 01 Accord at ~$30-$40 and offered me $70 to settle it. I felt it was a little shady because he then had me sign off as 'no damage', but didn't want to deal with any hassle given the small amount of damage. It *was* actually a very easy repair on the side mirror and did cost me only $30 from E-bay, as the carrier said, so I am satisfied with that, and the fact that I saved time having to take it to a shop or something to settle the damage normally. There was some rubbing on the side near the mirror that I couldn't catch in the rain, but as the car is rather aged, its not a massive issue for me.

I should also note that I had the odometer photographed, and not even 0.1 miles was on it (Make sure you do this!!).

Overall, satisfied with the service, but wish things had gone better during the transport. I would keep in mind that no car is immune to damage, especially on an open carrier. Always ALWAYS be sure you thoroughly inspect the car for damage before and record the odometer reading!
